Fields of Honor (The War)

The sounds of millions of footsteps can be heard in the distance. The clinging of weapons and armor begins to sound closer and closer as shadows appear on the horizon. The Herbian Alliance arrives first, bringing about one million soldiers to the field. Magic runes begin to appear all over behind the humans. Elves begin appearing where these magic runes were. Holes begin to open up, as dwarves appear as well, bringing the Herbian Alliance ranks to about three million.

Shadows begin to appear on the opposite side as well. Demoncius arrives a few minutes later bringing about four million soldiers to the field. Shortly after they arrive, all manners of trolls, ogres and behemoths rise from the ground itself bolstering Demonicus by about two million.

Both sides make camps and prepare for war.

A massive floating city appears high above the battlefield with about four beings looking down at the field from the edge of the city.

????:This is going to be a bloodbath.

????:Indeed it is.

????:More like a massacre. The Herbian Alliance better bring its most powerful forces for this.

????:Dont tell me your rooting for a side?

????:You must be joking. I was just looking out for the mortals.

????:Cut it out you two. Sanctuary and the Mysterious Beings will not join in this war unless we must.

The morning sun begins to rise on the two armies as they prepare to move into the middle of the large field. As they move into position, both army commanders appear from the middle of their respective crowds. One has pitch-black armor, and the other has bright golden armor. The two commanders look across at each other with a grin as they turn around to face their respective armies.

Herbian Commander: Here we stand as the proud Herbian Alliance. We have fought these monsters for ages, and have never faultered. This battle shall be the end of it. If we prevail here, then we will no longer have to fear the dark!

The Herbian Alliance army shouts and cheers as their commander finishes his speech.

Demonicus Commander: Crush these impudent mortals under us so that we shall rule this world!

The Demonicus army roars and clangs their weapons against their armor at the end of their commander's talk.

The two commanders then turn around facing back towards each other and prepare for the battle that is about to insue.
